Apparently, all ‘about me’ blog pages are written in the third person, to avoid looking uncool this one is no different:

Catch is the personal internet sandpit of one Tim Fry (not that you guessed from the address). Tim lives in a little town on the sunny south coast of England.
After spending three years at Southampton Uni earning a BSc in Computer Science with Image and Multimedia Systems, Tim said he didn’t want to do any computer programming as a job. As a result he did a bit of this and a bit of that for 18 months, then when this started to annoy people he got a proper job as a ‘graduate consultant’, which is just a posh title for computer programmer.
Tim loves music. Especially that produced by Doves (the band not the bird) but he’s also a big fan of the following: Aqualung, Athlete, Ash, Bloc Party, Captain, Coldplay, The Delays, Elbow, Feeder, The Foo Fighters, Grandaddy, Guillemots, Idlewild, The Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, The Kings of Convenience, Leaves, The Magic Numbers, Sigur ros, Snow Patrol, Starsailor, The Sunshine Underground, Thirteen Senses ,Turin Brakes and We Are Scientists. He’s also been known to like a bit of classical, a bit of folk and pick and choose other things to like with little or no reason. You’ll recognise Tim at work because he’s the one with the headphones in constantly, the other end being plugged into one of his iPods (not that the classic 3G gets used much).
He’s a season ticket holder at Southampton Football Club and spends every other Saturday afternoon sitting in the same plastic seat shouting and singing until he’s lost his voice. This has it’s highs and lows, namely getting to the FA Cup final in Cardiff in 2003 and then getting relegated in 2005. He’ll also quite happily watch rugby union, cricket or athletics. He used to watch formula 1 until it got boring, but can’t stand snooker, golf or tennis, even though he looks a bit like Tim Henman. He also pretends to play sport in the form of a friendly game of squash.
Tim also likes to think he has an eye for design, loves technology and once had a thing about collecting lights. He gets hay fever in the summer and colds in the winter, which is a shame because he loves getting outside because the world is frankly a wonderful place. If Tim were a fictional character, he would be Eeyore the Donkey with a gin habit.
This blog doesn’t have any comments on the basis that Tim listens enough of the time and this is his place to talk, he also hates dealing with spam. If you want to get in touch with him, the a good place to start would be tim [at] timfry [dot] co [dot] uk. Alternatively, tim [dot] fry [at] tesco [dot] net works in the messenger program provided by those nice people at the big M (not the one that produces burgers). Alternatively, stand where you are and wave your arms around wildly, he’ll notice eventually.
For friends (new and old), Tim has a facebook page and has been known to log on at least once a week, he also has a flickr account for storing photos that for one reason or another just aren’t right to put on here.
