Given that there’s been nothing else on for the last two weeks, when I’ve not been sleeping, driving or working (when the text commentary has had to do) I’ve been watching the Olympics and I never knew the following things could be so exciting:
- A hockey penalty shootout.
- Live sailing, even if there’s no way of telling who is actually winning.
- Basketball (which I can’t usually stand)
A little something I was playing around with last weekend.
I’ve never understood why, when what comes out of a computer is so often full of colour and life, the machine itself is a plain black/grey/beige box so I’m always pleased when something comes out that’s a little different. Cue noteworthy mentions to the Shuttle mini X200, the ASUS Wii Eee Box, the mac mini and this week’s new colourful addition, the Dell Studio Hybrid. Not since the old iMac have computers come in so many translucent colours and while the specs might put it top of the pile, it’s low power consumption might catch the odd eye, if the bamboo case doesn’t.
