holy curves, it’s the new vectra

Actually it’s not. The Vectra is dead, long live the Vauxhall Insignia which it seems actually met a designer on it’s way from the boardroom to the showroom. It’s just a shame that the back looks dead ugly…

Seriously, if you’re turning to me for new music then you probably need help, but as you’re here may I point you in the direction of the following:
Wake the President - especially ‘Remember Fun’
Attic Lights - ‘God’
I’m not sure whether they’re both from Glasgow means anything, I’ll have to get back to you on that one. While I’m at it I also recommend Steve Lamacq’s Radio 2 show (Wed 11pm-Midnight) which is basically an hour of new music for your consideration.

It seems that every now and then I play right into somebody’s hands, the body is just that little bit ahead of the brain and that’s just what you don’t want to happen. Last night I played right into an obvious trap laid by that nice Mr Jobs at Apple, the iTunes Wireless Music Store.
We’d been to see 21. It’s not bad, but I didn’t like the typical and oh so cheesy ‘everything worked out ok in the end’ ending. What it did have was a rather good soundtrack. I can’t honestly remember another film where I was still humming a song i’d heard a good 2 hours ago even though I’d just arrived home and had my computer been on I might have then gone and looked up the soundtrack, then gone and downloaded it. However it was safely off. My iPod on the other hand was unsafely on and within a minute I’d looked up the title of the said mgmt track and downloaded it. Money to Apple that could have easily gone to a traditional record shop a couple of days later, or more likely gone nowhere because I would have forgotten about the whole thing.
I know, my impulsiveness only cost me 79p but it’s the fact that it was so easy that scares me.
